At Pelican Flight Training, we celebrate every milestone, but the first solo flight is always a truly special moment. Today, we are proud to announce that our student, Farida Sawadogo, has officially completed her First Solo!
Farida, who joined us from Burkina Faso, has been enrolled in our Professional Pilot Program since early 2025. Her dedication and hard work have clearly paid off, as she handled the aircraft with precision and confidence during this major career milestone.
This achievement also highlights the exceptional mentorship of her flight instructor, Ashlyn D’Souza. Originally from India, Ashlyn is a prime example of excellence within our school. After completing her own professional training at Pelican in 2025 and earning her advanced ratings, she has accumulated over 800 flight hours. Ashlyn continues to prove her success as an instructor, with several of her students recently passing their check-rides.
