As a Fixed-Base Operator out of North Perry Airport, we have been able to develop a cutting-edge facility with Advanced Aircraft Training Devices, spacious briefing areas and classrooms, and a 14,000 square foot maintenance facility.
Our goal is to provide all of the tools necessary for our students to get the experience they need and ensure that our instructors can focus on teaching.
Our location in Pembroke Pines, just outside of Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale, provides our students with a safe environment at a relatively low cost.
We provide nearby apartments available to rent for as low as $750 a month for a shared room or $1500 a month for a single room in the apartment as well as ready access to South Florida’s world-class beaches for any downtime.

Networking and knowing how to relate with people from different cultures gives that extra edge that not every pilot has the priviledge to experience and learn.
We are a Fixed-Base operator out of North Perry Airport in Hollywood, Florida which has four lit, paved runways (with the longest coming in at 3,350 feet/1,021 meters). This provides our students with multiple benefits. Logistically, we are equidistant between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL), giving our students easy access to our facility – no matter where they are coming from around the world.
Being just off the Gulf Stream, South Florida’s weather patterns are remarkably consistent with a significant amount of warning before bad weather enters the area. This gives us the ability to maximize our flight times and provides our students with a relatively controlled environment that enables them to gain experience quickly.
Students do not have to fly long distances to practice their skills. There is a large practice area just to the west of the airfield to practice maneuvers and several other airfields are within a short distance.
The State of Florida is your practice area. The high density of air traffic in Florida helps students prepare for the busy world of commercial aviation. The Florida environment is a great one in which to train, as it gets a wide variety of weather. We train our students to know when it’s safe to takeoff and to how to operate in various weather conditions. This exposure helps prepare them for what they will encounter as airline pilots after their training is complete.
The local community in Miami offers students at Pelican Flight Training much more than just flight training. The area's cultural diversity, outdoor beauty, recreational activities, and community support create a well-rounded experience that enriches both their personal and academic lives. By taking advantage of these local attractions, students can complement their aviation training with unforgettable experiences, ensuring that their time in Miami is both rewarding and memorable.
